We came here at the worst time possible for Japan. We came at the time when a typhoon was about to come and destroy parts of Japan. This link tells you more about it.

Supermarkets are running out of stock, roads are being destroyed and towns are being flooded. Most places seem to be recovering quickly, but some are still struggling to go back to normal.

One of our trains was affected and had to stop 1.5 hours before our destination due to heavy rain. We stayed in Osaka for 3 nights waiting for the trains to go again.

We were lucky because we were not in any of the majorly affected flood areas.
