I’m a mother of 2 gorgeous girls who have loved listening to, touching and exploring books since they were babies. I wanted to share some of our favourite books, games and toys so that you can enjoy them too, find them in the library or give them to children you love as special gifts.
Between the library, presents from relatives and the book shop our lives have been enriched hundreds of wonderful children’s books over the last 6 years. Some of these have been read over and over until the point that my 4 year old can quote them word for word. I base the success of a book on how many times it gets pulled off the shelf by the kids and asked for again.
I’ve been through all the stages of baby, pre-school, learning to read and now early chapter books. It’s sometimes hard to know what will really appeal to girls at their various ages so I’ve divided the books up into stages not necessarily based on age. Some of the books are popular for a long time and others appeal only at a particular stage.
This site isn’t just about books – I’ve also included some of our most popular toys, games and videos… especially the ones I’ve enjoyed along with the kids!
