Maya – 20th

Today was 38 degrees. Kyoto has been having the hottest weather in the whole of Japan.

At 11 o’clock Dad, Zoe and I did karaoke whilst Mum went shopping. It was our third time doing karaoke. At karaoke you go into a room that has a TV. You use an i-pad to find the songs that you want. The words to the song comes up on the TV and the music plays through the speaker. There are 2 microphones that you can use to sing the song. We did lots of cool songs it was really fun.

After we finished karaoke we walked to the place where we learned about tea ceremonies. The lady told us lots of things about tea ceremonies. We made macha green tea and drank it. When we were walking back to the hotel where we left our bags I felt so hot. Luckily Zoe gave me a fan earlier so I used that.

Once we had our bags we caught a train to Osaka then 2 more trains to the right part of Osaka. From the train station that we arrived at we walked for 20 minutes to where we were staying. We were staying is on a small street with lots of cute houses. We stayed in a tatami room. I got to sleep in the futon cupboard. I like being able to look out over the room from the cupboard.

For dinner I had chicken karaage, rice and cabbage.
